Governance


The Research Education Office is governed by the Training and Education Committee and the Research Awards Committee. In addition, various groups from the Provincial Health Service Authority, BC Children's Hospital, BC Women's Hospital & Health Care Centre and the University of British Columbia provide guidance and support to the research education at CFRI.

Training and Education Committee (TEC)

The TEC provides institutional level support to the REP.  Its mandate is to provide objective assessments and recommendations to guide the development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of the REP.

Research Awards Committee (RAC)

The RAC is the primary selection committee that provides impartial review and adjudication of all trainee applications submitted to the CFRI funding competitions. It will also provide recommendations to the CFRI Executive on enhancing support for training awards.

Research Education Outreach Committee (REO)

The REO provides support to the Research Education Program. Its mandate is to provide objective assessments and recommendations to guide the development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of the Research Education Program, with an emphasis on education outreach and networking.
