Governance
Research Education at CFRI is governed by the Research Education Advisory Council, Training and Education Committee and the Research Awards Committee. In addition, various groups from PHSA, C&W and UBC provide guidance and support to the CFRI Research Education Program.

Research Education Advisory Council (REAC)
The REAC provides overall strategic advisory leadership to the Research Education Program (REP). Its mandate is to provide high level guidance, support and networking to the REP. The goal is to diversify the scope of guidance and the program's outreach to best support the education needs of the research community at the CFRI.
Training and Education Committee (TEC)
The TEC provides institutional level support to the REP. Its mandate is to provide objective assessments and recommendations to guide the development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of the REP.
Research Awards Committee (RAC)
The RAC is the primary selection committee that provides impartial review and adjudication of all trainee applications submitted to the CFRI funding competitions. It will also provide recommendations to the CFRI Executive on enhancing support for training awards.
Research Education Outreach Committee (REO)
The REO provides support to the Research Education Program. Its mandate is to provide objective assessments and recommendations to guide the development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of the Research Education Program, with an emphasis on education outreach and networking. |
